Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Tox-Away Day
September 30, 2023 from 9 am-12 pm at the Logansport High School north parking lot

The service is FREE for Cass County residents. Donations are appreciated. Items accepted are, but not limited to:

Oil based paints/stains, flammable liquids (gas/paint thinner/etc), insecticides, pesticides, corrosives, flammable solids, putty, adhesives, household cleaners, oxidizing solids (pool chemicals), fire extinguishers, stains and varnishes, driveway sealer, acids and bases, household cleaners, oil, oil filters, automotive fluids, fluorescent and mercury-containing bulbs, antifreeze, prescription and over-the-counter medicines (non-controlled), sharps (needles and lancets should be contained and labeled) aerosols, small (1 lb) propane tanks, non-hazardous material (soaps, lotions, etc).

Items NOT accepted are:
Electronics   
Asbestos   
Lab Chemicals                           Explosives                                                                                    Ammunition                              Infectious Waste -  Radioactive Material -  Large Propane Tanks

Residents in line at noon will still be accepted. Please note that we will not take any items from businesses or industry. We would appreciate your donations at the site.Check our website often for further details about new programs and services.


Tire Event 
June 17, 2023

Bring your tires to the 15 Biddle St. (back lot) from 9 am- 12 pm
Passenger tires (rim size 18" or less) are $3 per tire.
Racing tires (wide) $5 per tire
Commercial tires (semi, bobcat and fork truck) are $ 10 per tire.
Tractor tires are $ 25 per tire.
This event is open to Cass County area residents only. NO BUSINESSES
Cash only. This event will end at 12 pm or when truck is full. If your tires are on rims the price is double what is listed.



Shred Day will return on May 11, 2023 from 5 pm- 7pm in the back lot at 15 Biddle St.

This is an opportunity to securely shred documents containing personal and confidential information to prevent identity theft and fraud. There will be a mobile shredding truck on-site for you to watch as your records are destroyed. The procedure is very simple. Just load up all the documents in boxes and bring it the designated location. PLEASE DO  NOT PUT DOCUMENTS IN BAGS. The documents will be shredded within minutes. This service is for residents only...no businesses or municipalities.
